This concentration is of photos taken in the woods right off the railroad tracks beside my house. The photos look like they were taken in some mystical place, something out of a storybook. It shows how their can be many hidden little places if you just go and look. These were all taken right near a main road and a highway but you'd guess that they were taken way out in the woods somewhere. The photos take you on a journey from start to finish. They let your imagination wander and try to come up with a story to go along with the images. Who is this girl? Where is she going?
I think that my most successful work is the journey concentration because it is the most unified and it's like a story. The photos are strong, captivating and all go well together. I also really like the journey concentration because it was my first time experimenting with self portraits and I like how those photos look, I think that it adds more to the set instead of it being a bunch of pictures of trees. I think that I could improve the photo set by adding to the story, creating an ending and adding in more self portraits. The goal would be to make it even more of a narrative and to add more of a purpose and to give it conflict.
