Sandy hook
I was assigned to take pictures documenting students in the process of making their memorial pieces. Each student designed a piece to memorialize a specific Sandy Hook child. Watching the students come up with the designs and create the pieces was a very moving and emotional experience. The students took time to research and find out more about their Sandy Hook child so that they could create their memorial pieces. I hope my photos show the thought and passion they put into their pieces. As I photographed the students I noticed how dedicated they were to making the pieces perfect and to making absolutely no mistakes. Overall this process was very touching and I was glad to be a part of this project and document the making of all of these beautiful pieces.
